In modern journalism, knowledge of English is an essential professional tool: it allows you to work with the international news agenda, access reliable English-language sources, and build professional connections beyond your region. If you want to use English in your work — to read specialized materials, conduct interviews, communicate with colleagues worldwide, and expand access to independent information — this course is for you.

📣 We invite Belarusian journalists with Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate English levels who want to:

✦ confidently use English in journalistic work;
✦ learn to ask questions, conduct interviews, and lead discussions in English;
✦ read and analyze English materials accurately;
✦ expand access to independent international information sources;
✦ become part of the global media community and meet modern standards.

📚 About the course:

The “English Conversation Course for Journalists” is a 12-week interactive online program focused on practical skills: reading, discussion, interviews, media training, and live communication. The curriculum includes grammar work, vocabulary building, as well as an introduction to American culture and journalism approaches. All topics are adapted to participants’ interests.

📅 Pre-Intermediate group: Monday and Wednesday, 18:00–19:30
📅 Intermediate group: Tuesday and Thursday, 18:00–19:30

🚀 Course start dates:


• Pre-Intermediate — first class on August 11
• Intermediate — first class on August 12

📅 Course end dates:


• Pre-Intermediate — last class on October 15
• Intermediate — last class on October 16

📝 How to join the course:


1️ Fill out the application form — this will help us understand your motivation and goals. Based on the form, a list of participants invited to the next stage will be formed.
2️ Take an online EF SET test to determine your English level.
3️ Have an individual Zoom meeting with the instructor — this will help better understand your needs and expectations for the course.

The online test and Zoom meetings will take place during the week of July 28 to August 4. All selected participants will receive details by email.

Places are limited. Selection will be competitive: motivation and professional interest are the key criteria.
