Finance & Economics Club at American Center Minsk: Part Two of the Course – January

American Center Minsk is launching a new series of online meetings — Finance & Economics Club. This is a cycle of seven interactive sessions dedicated to key topics in finance and economics.

During the course, participants will explore:

  • personal finance
  • financial statements
  • corporate investment and fundraising
  • basics of investing
  • fintech
  • international economics

The format is practical and application-oriented, combining mini-lectures, case studies, exercises, discussions, and teamwork.
The working language of the course is English.

Schedule

  • 3 sessions will take place in December (December 15–17)
  • 4 sessions will be held in January (dates to be announced)

Participants may join individual sessions or complete the full course. No prior knowledge is required — the program is suitable for anyone interested in understanding finance and applying new skills in practice.

At the final, seventh session, participants will have the opportunity to present their own project idea and try themselves in the role of an analyst or entrepreneur.

Course Speakers

  • Vesnyana — interned at fintech companies Rove and Stripe, conducted economic research, and is a prizewinner of international economics olympiads.
  • Khazratbek — worked on fintech models, participated in research on investment banking models, and is a multiple-time prizewinner of the Economics Olympiad.
  • Raykhona — completed an internship at Finprofit and launched her own financial literacy project.
  • Aziz — researched financial literacy levels in Uzbekistan and developed business analytics skills, including Excel.

The program is aimed at students and high school students, but will also be of interest to young professionals. Participants under the age of 18 must provide written parental consent (for details, contact: [email protected]).
