Freedom 250: The American Revolution (1775–1783)

On July 23, we invite you to join a lecture by David Goldfield, “The American Revolution (1775–1783)”, dedicated to one of the most significant events in U.S. history.

During the lecture, we will explore how the Revolutionary War began, the key turning points in the struggle between the American colonies and the British Empire, and how the American Revolution led to the creation of a new nation. This webinar is a natural continuation of our exploration of U.S. history and will provide deeper insight into the events featured in the Freedom 250 virtual exhibition.

David Goldfield is a distinguished American historian, author, filmmaker, and Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is the author of sixteen books, including Cotton Fields and Skyscrapers and Black, White, and Southern: Race Relations and Southern Culture, both of which were nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
