Thanksgiving Traditions in the U.S.

Learn all about the classic fall holiday of Thanksgiving with EducationUSA! We will explore the origins, traditions and celebrations of this holiday in the United States and in university life.

Veeka Malanchuk, a senior at Beloit University, is an EducationUSA Virtual VSFS intern for the 2023-24 academic year. She majors in Russian, Spanish, and Education. Veeka is also an executive member of the Spanish Club and works on campus at the study abroad office and as a Spanish tutor. Thanksgiving is special to her as it is the gathering of families and loved ones sharing traditional homemade foods like her favorite, pumpkin pie.
