We invite you to an exciting session with two of today’s most outstanding astrophotographers: Connor Matherne and Andrew McCarthy. They took over 200,000 shots to create a breathtakingly detailed image of the Moon. During the session, Connor and Andrew will talk about their work, share their approaches and techniques in astrophotography, and reveal the secrets of how they use cutting-edge technology to create such detailed images.

Connor Matherne – a planetary scientist by profession and an astrophotographer by passion, and an active member of the Deep Sky West Observatory. His research on the Martian geology of the Jezero Crater was recently published in the Icarus journal. Connor shares his captivating images on social media, inspiring millions to explore how art and science come together.

Andrew McCarthy – an astrophotographer who creates detailed images of celestial bodies right from his garden in Sacramento, California. His attention to detail and patience in capturing the subtle features of celestial objects have captivated stargazers worldwide.
