Alumni Series: Online Webinar “Surviving Health Systems in the Digital Era: Belarus and Poland”

February 26 / 7:00 pm9:30 pm CEST

Healthcare systems are changing rapidly: digital services, new rules for accessing care, and evolving expectations of both patients and medical professionals. But how do you avoid getting lost in this complex architecture – especially if you live, travel, or work between countries?

On February 26, we invite you to a practical online webinar with Andrej Vitushka, a graduate of the Community Connections program. We will explore how healthcare systems function in Belarus and Poland, and how to use them effectively in everyday life and in critical situations.

Andrej Vitushka – physician (anesthesia and intensive care) with 20+ years of clinical experience. Community Connections 2008 alumnus. Trained in Austria, Germany, and Ireland, currently working at a Warsaw hospital. 10 years as a digital health adviser for prominent tech companies including Flo Health. A health educator since before it became mainstream, working across diverse formats – from publications with 300,000+ views to co-hosting the morning TV show about health “Dabraranak” on national television.

During the webinar, we will:
▸ compare the healthcare systems of Belarus and Poland, including their structure, logic, and cultural differences;
▸ clarify when and where to seek medical care in routine and emergency situations;
▸ share practical tips for effective communication with medical professionals;
▸ discuss check-ups and screenings: what is free in Poland and what truly makes sense in both countries;
▸ take a clear-eyed look at digital health – how modern tools can both help and harm our well-being.
