Applications are now open for the free online course Medical English for Professionals, designed for healthcare professionals who want to improve their English for communication with patients, colleagues, and the international medical community.
About the course
The course consists of a series of practical seminars aimed at developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Participants will explore reliable English-language medical resources and practice professional communication.
Course content
During the course, participants will:
- develop medical vocabulary and work with professional resources
- discuss clinical cases and write medical summaries
- practice doctor–patient communication (greetings, taking medical history, discussing symptoms)
- cover patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatment discussions
- prepare and deliver presentations on medical topics
- explore AI tools for medical research and academic writing
- present final projects
Instructor
The course is taught by Judy Emerson, an experienced instructor from the United States with over 20 years of teaching English to international students, including medical English.
Format
- classes are held once a week on Thursdays at 7:00 PM (Minsk time)
- online via Zoom

Requirements
- English level: B1 or higher
Certificate
Participants who successfully complete the course requirements and deliver a final presentation will receive a certificate.
